Many Infallible Proofs

Many non-christians today believe that Christians are only basing their beliefs of Jesus Christ on broad leaps of faith. I personally, have been a Christian for 3 years now and have been told by non-christians numerable times that there is no true proof of God and that I am only basing my beliefs on pure faith. I then lay down the many facts and reasons why I am a follower of Jesus Christ.

While reading Luke I take into mind that he was a physician. As one can tell by his writing, just because he is so articulate compared to some of the other apostle's letters. As a physcian, Luke had a trained scientific mind. This is why he did not base the resurrection on Jesus on an existential leap of faith. Instead, he talks of overwhelming evidence that demonstrates that Jesus had been physically raised from the dead. He calls these evidences "infalliable proofs."
The point of Dr. Luke is that to his scientific mind, the evidence that Christ arose is very convincing to anyone open-minded enough to look at it honestly. Let us review some of these convincing evidences.
There are 12 facts today that demand an explanation of the Bible.
These include:
1. Jesus died due to crucifixion.
2. He was buried.
3. His disciples became depressed, lost all hope, and scattered in fear of their lives.
4. His tomb was empty three days after his death.
5. A large number of disciples individually and in groups claimed to have seen, touched, ate with, drunk with, and openly talked with the risen Jesus.
6. The disciples were psychologically transformed from:
Fear to faith timitdity to boldness
Doubters to believers scattered to unified
cowards to martyrs depressed to joyous
7. The resurrected Christ was central to the Early Church's message.
8. This was especially true in Jerusalem, where many eyewitnesses lived.
9. As a reult of the message of the resurrected Christ, the Christian Church was born and grew.
11. The half-brothers of Jesus such as James did not believe in Jesus as the Messiah until he appeared to them after his resurrection.
12. Saul of Tarshish became the Apostle Paul after he claimed that the resurrected Christ confronted him on the road to damascus. The results of his conversion to Christianity cannont be underestimated.
So as you may see by just being honest with oneself these historical points are something not to make light of. They bring up big questions and need to be considered by many claiming atheists and believers themselves to help them better equip the realness of God himself.
